Title: Rebel Book #3 in the Sons of the Alpha series
Author: Addison Carmichael
Genre: Supernatural, were-kind, werewolves, Romance
Published: August 1st, 2019
AMAZON | GOODREADS
Synopsis: To avoid a forced, loveless marriage to a man she detests, were-Cougar princess Jade Lamarche escapes to the neutral territory of Santa Barbara, California to finally live life on her own terms. But she discovers this is a dangerous country where female Cats are rare and highly sought after by dozens of vicious rouges, and Jade finds herself needing the help and protection of a lone Wolf outcast from his own Pack.
A Wolf Pack in a blood feud with her own family’s Cougar Pride.
After failing to prevent his friend’s suicide over an unspeakable crime, were-Wolf prince Luke Bryant breaks from the unjust and restrictive laws and constraints of his Pack and disappears into neutral territory. At last, he is free from the suffocating expectations of his people and the forced control of his High Alpha father.
What Luke didn’t count on was befriending a lone female Cougar who requires his help at every turn in this deadly, untamed Wild West. Or the fact that against every natural law known to were-kind, he’s impossibly developing feelings for her.
Deep, taboo feelings.
Because one thing is always certain—A Wolf never falls in love with a Cat.
The order of the Sons of the Alpha series is as follows (including prequels and links to reviews):
I feel like I have not read a book that made me squeal this much in a while, I have I'm sure I've just been so busy with things going on- the new move went great by the way- that I haven't taken the time to sit down and enjoy a good book. Which this book pretty much forced me to do, so that's good!
From Jade's spunky character to the romance- and I loved seeing some other side characters again- this book had me turning the pages and once again eagerly awaiting the next book!! 😍😍
I love how Addison's books intertwine with each other and reveal more, while also giving you a glimpse of what happened to past characters.
In this book, we get to see Jade Lamarche, the younger sister to Prism (the character from Claimed) going through something similar to what her sister faced as well as deciding to do something extrememly crazy on multiple occassions! 😁
Honestly, her mother surpised me a lot throughout this book. From the beginning you see the other side of what it's like for the royal were-kind females, and I gotta say- that sucks.
I was cheering when Jade's mother took a stand and helped her daughter!
I also was cheering about that little reveal we find out about Trace later- SPOILER: I like him a lot by the end of it all.
Now as for Luke and Jade, I loved how the Carmichael did the reveals- because yes there needed to be multiple. Trust me, it made it so great! 😉 I was extrememly happy with this newest edition to the series, and can't wait for more!!
The Sons of the Alpha series is definitely perfect for lovers of: were-wolves, supernatural, and steamy romance!
[My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐] [4.5 stars!]

ReplyDeleteI think they're on sale on the kindle, or it could've been last week... I know the author sometimes has giveaways for the books.
DeleteI haven't heard of this author, but this does sound really good! I haven't read a paranormal romance in quite awhile. I'll have to add this to my list!
ReplyDeleteThis series is the only paranormal romance I've read in a while, I tried Shiver near the beginning of the year if I remember correctly though.
DeleteGlad to hear this was good. For some reason I love the whole concept of were- creatures! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's one of my favorite parts in the series is how each book adds more to the world!
