Noel's 24 Indie Reads for 2024

I love to read Indie books & to support Indie authors, I'm an Indie author myself, so I had an idea to make a fun reading goal for myself for this year.  For the year 2024, I want to read 24 Indie books total.  If I read more than that, great! If not, I'll try again :) I usually read Indie books throughout the year, but I've never actually tracked how many I've read and it feels like there's so many more out now or recently released in the last two years that I need to catch up on!  Is it like that for you too or just me being crazy and behind on everything aside from the new Taylor Swift albums?    Without further ado here's my list of Indie books for 2024 and a bit about them! If I've already read some of them so far (seeing as it's already May) then I'll share a snippet of my thoughts on them too. Some of these will be new releases coming out this year that I can't wait to get my hands on! Anyways... to the list!!! A Bond of Briars by Er...

Pug Puppies, current reads & watch list!

Last Sunday evening Wednesday (my mother's female pug) had a litter of 6 puppies! Now to catch everyone up on the same page, this is what my family's pug situation looks like.... My parents (also my neighbors) have two black pugs, the girl is Wednesday and the boy is pugsley. My older brother that is renting from me has his own pug that's the oldest, Biscuit. She used to be mine before I went away to college. Once I moved away and couldn't take her with me I had to give her to my brother those few years ago. Now, I get to have my pick of the litter to get myself a pug! It's been a while since I had my own to look after and I miss having my own furr baby <3. But we'll see! Having my hands full with Wednesday's puppies (they're starting to stand up and walk!!), I'm finding a bit more time to sit and catch up on shows and discover new books to read- something I've very much  missed.  Care for a peek at my currents?  Currently Reading~   ...

Books You Have To Read ASAP

There's a lot of books that Noel loves, these are all compiled on a list and titled: Forever Favorites. Here is a peek at some of those books, but these are ones that anyone should be able to pick up and enjoy!  These are the heartfelt favorites that made me sob, laugh (which is actually very rare in a book for me), or just smile stupidly at my book when I was reading in a public place. Some of these I do enjoy more than others, I'll let you know which one barely made the line as a favorite, and some I really want to reread soon!! Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia   *As a writer myself, and as someone that used to write on Wattpad big time, this was an awesome book to read. Not only that though, it touched on a girl that was suffering from anxiety and trying to become stronger.  Eliza was an amazing character, and the plot and story just helped seal the deal!* Her story is a phenomenon. Her life is a disaster. In the real world, El...

January's TBR + Reading Updates!

I didn't plan on doing a TBR post for January, but looks like I will be! Along with giving you guys some updates on what I've just finished- the first books I've read in 2019!! The Huntress of Thornbeck Forest by Melanie Dickerson! This actually was one of the books I finished a few days ago- the first ones of January and the new year!! I was very happy with this new book Melanie Dickerson's, and thoroughly enjoyed everything it had to offer. The Book Jumper by Mechthild Gläser! This book looked too amazing to not pick up! Fallen by Lauren Kate! So I actually finished this a few days ago and... I didn't like it. This book is definitely not for me. The Knowing by Sharon Cameron! This is a companion novel to The Forgetting by Sharon Cameron - that I am absolutely in love with, so can't wait to try this!! Rook by Sharon Cameron! Since I loved Cameron's The Forgetting , why not try some of her ...

July's TBR ~ Updated

Hey guys!  If you read my Wrap-Up for June, then you probably saw my TBR for July.  Except that was more of a vague list, because I wasn't sure what books I would feel like reading or be able to get in the following weeks. However, I now have a better idea of what will be on my TBR for July- so I wanted to update my list and share it with you guys! Buddy Reads and Book of the Months Caraval by Stephanie Garber is the Book of the Month for a book club my friend started.  I'm super excited to read it, but I have to wait a little longer to get it from my library :( The Night Circus will be a Buddy Read on July 10th, with my friend Desara . ReadAThons I will be hosting a ReadAThon later in the month, but I haven't decided which books to read for the challenges yet. So I'll let you know in my announcement post what I'll read for it! Other TBR Books I recieved an ARC to review for The Shadow Minds Journal by K...
