Shifted Desires by Addison Carmichael | Is it Meant To be or Not To Be?

*I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, all thoughts and opinions are my own!*

Title: Shifted Desires

Author: Addison Carmichael

Published: September 15th, 2019

Genre: Paranormal, Romance, Werewolf

Series: Prequel and novella to Hunter (Book 4 in the Sons of the Alpha series)

GOODREADS | AMAZON

Synopsis:  Randolyn Summers keeps a sharp eye and her photo lens on the werewolf Zachary King. She intends to set the stage to befriend him and earn his trust in order to discover the location and human identity of his alpha creator. Then she'll destroy him, his alpha, and his entire monstrous kind for good.

What Randi didn't count on is discovering the truth about were-kind, and the unspeakable thought of falling in love with one.

To make sure I don't confuse you, this is a novella and prequel that sets up for the final book in Carmichael's Sons of the Alpha series. You don't have to read it to understand and enjoy the other books, but I love reading them as they give extra easter eggs and engaging characters!

Honestly, I was just as pleased with this one as all the others in the series so far!

Addison did a great job of introducing us to new characters and making us want to know more, as well as where she takes them.

The characters were funny and I really loved reading about them, their development together, and now I can't wait to see where they go in the next book. The author makes sure there are so many easter eggs in each book that it's hard to not pick one of these books up to see your past favorite characters!

The next book, Hunter, is going to be the last in the series and while I'm excited for it I'm also sorry to see this series end!
A wonderful new edition to this paranormal romance series, that Carmichael crafted seamlessly with her skill <3

The plot and the whole story was intriguing and built with creative characters.

[My Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟]
Have you read this series? Thoughts on extra prequels or novellas that give easter eggs in a series??

Thanks for reading!!

  1. It's always sad to see an enjoyable series end isn't it. I hope that the final book turns out to end the series nicely for you when it comes out.

  4. I usually don't read novellas or prequels but I think it's nice once and a while to read something, like personality or background, about the books or characters that are maybe not emphasized in the main books. I've never heard of this series but it's so fun for a series to finally wrap up and you get that closure of a world that you spent so much time in - but of course, it's always heartbreaking to say bye to everything you've grown so attached to.

Books with Noel's BLOGVERSARY!!

Bonjour mes amis! [Hello my friends!] It's officially Books with Noel 's Blogversary!!! Quick Note: I'm sorry if any of these seems rushed, I injured my wrist at work and now have to wear a brace on my right side (I'm right-handed). When I first started blogging, it was a rash and implusive decision (and no, I ususally don't have those). I had already been trying to do BookTube for a while, and it was rough- I'll admit it. But more on that later! I started Books with Noel to try to communicate my passion and thoughts on books the only way I know best- through writing. (Don't ask why I'm still on YouTube then, sometimes I don't even know myself.) As soon as I did my first two blog posts on here, I was introduced to some very kind book bloggers and I found the best book community I've ever seen! Everyone is so nice, even when disagreeing about a book! I'm now able to support other bloggers and unknown authors through my blo...

The Month of February and Trying New Things | A Monthly Wrap-Up + A TBR

Eek, is it bad that I'm relieved Valentine's Day and the ''Love Month'' is over? I just read contemporaries, watched chick flicks, and ate ice cream to celebrate the holiday...it was great! How about you guys? How was your Valentine's Day? How's The YouTube Channel Going?? As some of you know, I also am a small BookTuber who shares my videos only in the monthly wrap-ups. And yes, they are as random as my blog posts 😂.  Though I try to keep their content different, so one book review that will be on my blog may not be on my YouTube channel (unless I feel very strongly about the book or am reviewing it for someone). So here are the videos from February!! ChickFlicks & Contemporaries | MY FEBRUARY TBR TOP TEN ANIME COUPLES | FT. CAMMIE Eliza And Her Monsters | BOOK RANT TRY A CHAPTER ~ Round 1 Since the theme for this month is Trying New Things , I'm planning to start doing anime related videos on my YouTube. Spec...
