When Stars Fall From The Sky | Cover Reveal for my Debut Novel

I've been going out of my mind with endless revising and finding an editor (I even looked at Grammarly, I was pretty desperate).
When writing a novel, you're continuously rewriting until you're happy with it.
And that's exactly what I've been doing with my novel!

Some of you may not know, or if you're new here, but I am planning to selfpublish a scifi novel this year.

So I have the cover reveal for you guys today!

                            Ta da!

     What happens when stars fall?

Mallory has been classified as the Unfortunate Girl of Stars for as long as she can remember, and all because of her interest in the lights that used to be in the sky.

In 2105 when stars are considered myths, other planets are being colonized, and alliances are made with other inhabitants of the galaxies- everyone is after something, even aliens. When the Jupites, the highly respected yet hermit-like aliens, make requests they are not denied. And they have their sights set on Mallory playing a part in their demands.
The human girl is alone among humans, lost in her love of stars, and unsure where to even start to attempt to save what’s left of her planet. If there's a way to save it at all.

[Title:] When Stars Fall From The Sky

[Genre:] Scifi and YA

Now as I'm still writing and revising it, I do not have a release date yet. But I will update you guys whenever I have something new! :)

I also happen to have a inspiration board for it on Pinterest, which you can find here.

In case you are wondering, it is a YA novel though I am sure lots of different ages can read it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me and I'll answer!

When I first started writing my novel (June 11th, 2017), I wrote about 1/4 of the first draft on Wattpad. If you manage to find my Wattpad account, it's still on there though I did take most of it down.

But the version that will be published will be much more improved (seeing as it was only part of the 1st draft).

I've gotten a few questions about how I plan to selfpublish and my answer is: mostly with Amazon's Createspace and Kindle Direct Publishing.
Though I have heard of other sites that you can selfpublish your book on, lots of people know and love Amazon and I feel that would help me get more views than another website would.

For those of you that were here when I did the UnicornWriteAThon (my friend Desara hosted it), this is the novel that I was writing during it.
So whenever I mention my writing project, it's probably safe to assume I'm talking about my novel unless I say otherwise.

It was originally just going to be a standalone novel. But then that turned into a duology as the ending was too much of a cliffhanger.
And then that turned into a trilogy... for mutliple reasons. So as of right now, it is a trilogy- but that is subject to change.
Though I still would have preferred a duology for my first ''series'', I'm excited and just hope others can love it just as much as me!

Also, this will be my Debut Novel! (For those who do not know, a debut novel is the first novel of an author.)

My friend Desara, also happens to be writing a book as well!
Check out her blog, because she is doing her cover reveal for it today!

Her's is a cute romance, called Love and Theater. I don't want to spoil what it's about, so I won't say anything more. ;)

But I can't wait to share my book with you guys!! <3

Thanks for reading!!

  1. Wow! Congratulations!!! I would love to be writing a book of my own but I don't think I can accomplish that anytime soon at the moment xD So happy for you!!!

Elle Inked @ Keep on Reading

    1. Thank you!! It certainly is an interesting journey, especially with my own characters lol :D

  2. I understand the struggles of editing, but if you need any help, I can always lend a hand...

I really can't wait to have your book in my hands. When we both finish our debut novels we can become author friends hahahaha...

    1. Yeah! I actually have got the editing handled for the moment, I'm thinking once I finish my next round of revising sending it to some Beta Readers.

  3. Congratulations on finishing a book! It's quite the accomplishment, and I know it takes a lot of time and energy. Wishing you the best. <3

    L @ Do You Dog-ear?

    1. Also, your book sounds really interesting!

    2. Thank you very much! I work on it every free chance I can!

  4. Congrats on such a beautiful cover (and writing a book!). I have only dabbled in poetry and short stories, so I cannot even imagine how much time and dedication writing (and editing) a whole novel takes! I wish you the best of luck with the rest of the novel and please keep us updated!

    Tessa @ Crazy for YA

    1. I will! And thank you so much!!

It does take a lot of time, I actually stay up until 2am most days and have a serious coffee addiction Lol. But I love writing, and when you fall in love with the characters as you write them- it's an amazing experience!
